The artworks celebrate music from rock to classical and everything in between, including salutes to some of our most famous musicians. This public art program has become one of the Village's most popular attractions, annually drawing thousands of residents and visitors to the downtown area. On display along Oak Park Avenue from May through September, these colorful benches bring to life the chosen theme of the season. The benches feature the work of both amateur and professional local artists, providing spots to rest and enjoy the creations while strolling through town.

Moms, dads, and children of all ages, come to the library with a flashlight and a bed sheet. You will make a tent from the sheet using chairs, then curl up to read to each other or play games. Please register each family member attending the program.

Enjoy this Big Band/Jazz program presented by local bandleader Steve Cooper featuring rare video and films of some of the best loved bands and singers. Favorites like Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey, Harry James, Louis Armstrong, Henry Mancini, Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Al Hirt will be heard. Cooper will also share fascinating "behind the scenes" stories about many of the bands and singers. He'll also play song requests from the audience on his trumpet.
